The Hungarian Chilled Sour Cherry Soup is a versatile little thing. It can be served as an appetizer, a smoothie or even a dessert. You can flavor in many ways, and with a few tricks, it can be done without cooking. Today I’m gonna share the easiest way to make it!
Seasoning and flavor options:
- Citrus zest – Lemon, lime, or even orange zest works perfectly in this soup, it adds an extra zing to it
- Besides cinnamon: cloves, star anise, cardamom – to spice things up
- Wine – a dash of red wine before serving can shake the party up
- Honey – it works wonder if you want to skip sugar in your soup
- Mint
Thickener options:
- Banana
- Chia seed
- Tapioca
- Instant pudding powder
- Pudding powder
- Corn starch
Topping options:
- Whipped cream
- Citrus peels
- Almond shavings
- Vanilla pudding (solid – diced, soft – poured)
- Caramell nest
- Sour cream

Ingredients
- 1 jar Sour Cherry
- 4 cups Milk of your choice
- Sugar/Honey or sweetener of your choice
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 pack Instant Vanilla Pudding
Instructions
- Drain the jar of sour cherry. (Save the juice)
- Pour the milk, and the juice into a mixing bowl.
- Add the sugar, or honey (or the sweetener of your choice.)
- Add the instant vanilla pudding powder and mix everything well.
- Add the sour cherry, stir it.
- Put it in the fridge to chill for 30 minutes.
- Serve it cold, with the topping of your choice.
