You probably already seen chocolate cup before and you probably never dared to try to make them, well at least that’s what happened in my case!
Don’t be intimidated by it! It’s easier than it looks, read on and I’ll tell you how can You make them in just a few minutes! It’ll be a hit in your next hospitality, your guests will be amazed by your chocolate crafting skills for sure!
Homemade edible chocolate cups, as I’ve already mentioned, are easier to make, than it looks.
All of these take about 10 minutes to make and about 5 minutes to cool completely. So you have a dozen of chocolate cups in 15 minutes!
Cupcake liner method:
All you need is chocolate, coconut oil, cupcake liners (preferably standard foil liners) and a teaspoon!
- First of all, melt the chocolate (1 cup milk chocolate) with the coconut oil (1 tbsp). I made a dozen of these yummies with this amount, but to make them more appealing than mine does, use more chocolate or make fewer cups.
- After you melt the chocolate, add 1-2 teaspoon chocolate to each liner. Let it cool for a little.
- As soon as it’s a little cooler and you can push the chocolate from the bottom to the walls with the back of the teaspoon and it won’t leak back, push the chocolate up, all around of the liners with the back of the spoon. Repeat it if you need it.
- Put them in the fridge until serving.
- Simply pull the liner off the chocolate, like you would with a cupcake.
Alternative (balloon) method:
All you need is chocolate, coconut oil, balloons and a tray (or any place to let them cool).
- First of all, melt the chocolate (1 cup milk chocolate) with the coconut oil (1 tbsp).
- Wash and dry the balloons! Blow them up to the size you want your bowl/cups to be. Tie a knot on each.
- Dip each balloon to the chocolate, let each a second or two to cool and repeat.
- After a few-layer, stand them on a tray and let them cool.
- Put them in the fridge until serving.
- Pierce the knots of the balloons with a needle, so the balloons will let down, not pop.
Decoration tip:
To make your cups fancier, drizzle different color chocolate/candy melts on the bottom of your cupcake liners or make marble effect chocolate bowls with the balloon method by drizzle different color chocolate/candy melts in the bowl of chocolate and barely stir it up.
