However the weather doesn’t reflect the fact that it’s summer, I crave for more fruits and refreshing beverages. This smoothie is just perfect for that craving!
I absolutely adore this smoothie mostly because I love the flavor combination, plus the chia seed makes it soo filling and it’s done within a few minutes. It’s perfect for a quick breakfast!
I chose not to over-sweeten it, but of course, it’s up to you if you want to add more sugar. Thankfully, I used flavor-packed, sweet strawberries, so I didn’t need more.
How to spice it up?
Maybe adding chia seed isn’t enough for you to spice up your smoothie. Here are some ideas that you might find interesting:
- Lime juice
- Lime/lemon/orange zest
- Peanut/almond butter
- Cocoa powder
- Baby spinach
- Orange/pineapple juice instead of almond milk
- Avocado
- Mint
- Coconut yogurt
- Cinnamon
