After last time I made Cherry Rolls I wanted to change the recipe a bit more for my family’s taste!:))
So here is the result, the Raisin Cherry Cream Rolls:
This time I made a bit more dough and a creamy filling, it was wonderful, I’m really glad I made it!
Ingredients:
Dough:
- 1 cup milk
- 1 package yeast
- 2 package baking soda
- 1 cup sugar ( I combined it with vanilla sugar)
- 2 eggs
- 6-8 tbsp margarine
- 1 kilo flour
Filling:
- 0.5 kilo pitted cherries
- 0.25 kilo raisin
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 package gelatin
- 1 cup sugar (if the cherry sweeter, use less sugar!)
- 1 cup water
The first thing you need to do is add the cup of warm milk to a bowl, add the package of yeast and let it rise for about 5-10 minute. In the meantime, you can pit the cherries. When the yeast has risen add the remaining dough ingredients, knead the dough for 5 minutes or until you feel it’s just fine. Now put it in a warm place for a half an hour. While you wait for the dough, add the pitted cherries, the raisin the water and the sugar into a pan and heat it, it takes about 10 minutes to cook, when it does, add the cornstarch and the gelatine, stir it carefully, it’ll thicken fast!
When the dough is ready, roll it out and spread the risen cherry cream on it. Roll it up and cut it into smaller pieces like below:
When you get it out of the oven, pour about a cup of milk on it, it’ll help to become soft and moisture.
