As I promised earlier, I write my 2nd eddition of the English muffin recipe.
Ingredients:
- 3/4 cup milk
- 1 cup kefir
- 50 gr yeast
- 1/2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 bag baking powder
- 4 1/2 cup flour
- 3 tablespoon melted, unsalted butter
- 1 beaten egg
Seasoning (the amounts depends on your taste) :
salt, cayenne pepper, cumin, pepper, parsley, sesame
The first thing you have to do is warm the milk (not hot, just warm!) in a bowl, put the sugar and the yeast in it and let it rest for about 15 minute (or until the yeast works) in a warm place. Then put the kefir, the beaten egg and the melted butter in it too and mix it.
For the seasoning, the best equipment is a mortar, it’s very useful!
So put the salt, cayenne pepper, cumin, pepper, parsley and the sesame in it and grind them. After you’re done with the seasoning, put the flour, the seasoning and the baking powder in the mixing bowl and knead them into a dough. Roll it on a rolling board until it’s about 2 cm thick, then cut it out, I used a glass to cut the circles out. Put them into the oven for 20 minute! At last but not least, enjoy the result!:)
