Hello! 🙂
How is your week so far?
Today I’m gonna show my non-traditional cauliflower-broccoli crust pizza! I promise it’s delicious, easy and healthier than the traditional pizza crusts.
Since I have to think twice what I cook/bake at home, because of my mother’s diabetes, I constantly looking for new, low-carb and healthy recipes.
I was craving for pizza for a while, so I’ve had the idea, I just had to figure out how to make it healthier and diabetic-friendly as much as I can.
If you’ve been following my blog for a while you know I’ve already have a pizza recipe with pizza crust, sauce and topping, all I had to do is to change the crust.
Cauliflower-Broccoli Crust Pizza
Today I’m gonna show my non-traditional cauliflower-broccoli crust pizza! I promise it’s delicious, easy and healthier than the traditional pizza crusts.
Ingredients
- 0.5 kg cauliflower
- 0.5 kg broccoli
- 4 small eggs
- 0.2 kg cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp pepper
Instructions
- Cut and wash the cauliflower and the broccoli. Grind them with a food processor. Pour the cauliflower-broccoli into a mixing bowl.
- Grind the cheese and lightly beat up the eggs. Put them into the mixing bowl too.
- Mix them well, pre heat the oven and pour the crust onto a pan. Bake it for 15-20 minutes on middle-high heat.
- About 10-15 minutes after you put the crust into the oven, put the topping onto the crust and bake it for about 5 minutes more.
- I used sour cream, mushroom, salt, pepper, paprika and cheese for the topping, but you can put anything you like onto the crust.
Yield: 8 servings
Prep Time: 00 hrs. 10 mins.
Cook time: 00 hrs. 25 mins.
Total time: 35 mins.
I have to note, my family loved it so much, I’ll probably use this crust recipe from now on. (It was so filling I was only able to eat a half serving)
What is your favorite pizza topping? Have you ever tried a non-tradition pizza crust? If you so, did you liked it? If you not, would you try it out?
