Torchlight Procession and walking

by Molnár-Papp Orsolya Anna

Hey! 🙂 Happy Labor Day!

We survived last night the Torchlight Procession, no one caught fire, but it wasn’t nearly as much fun as it used to be…

Last year I mentioned that Torchlight Procession is a tradition in my hometown the night before Labor Day. The students of the schools, their families, workers, so all in all everyone in the city goes out, grab a torch or a lampions/lantern and walk a little.

Well at least it’s how it used to be.

Now, just a very few of our students came, even less came with their parents, but many unbelievably drunk was out there. It was really disgusting how they yelled, staggered, bickered…Actually we tried to keep them as far as we could from our students all night….

All in all, we walked a little more than 4 km all night, which was great, but I would have been happier if fewer drunk had been out and I could just walk and enjoy the Torchlight Procession…

The other thing I wanted to write about my activity lately…

I know it was a long time since I wrote a fitness post, but it’s not because I’m sitting all day, but because I rarely go out for a run; lately I rather prefer walking.

In April I walked a little more than 50 km, cycled 10.5 km and burned 3859 kcal! 😀 So I walk myself fit! 😀

I hope you had a great week and will have a wonderful weekend!
